Have you (or a loved one) experienced an intensive care (ICU) stay? We would really value your voice.
As part of the SAFE ICU COST Action programme, we are committed to Patient and Public Involvement (PPI): working with patients and families, rather than only about them. Your lived experience can help ensure that research and care truly reflect what matters most.
We are currently establishing an international PPI group, bringing together people with ICU experience and healthcare professionals. The group will ideally be co-led by someone with lived ICU experience and someone with an ICU professional background.
🔹 What can you expect?
- Participation in online meetings (approximately 3 times per year)
- Opportunities to contribute to working groups (e.g. delirium, infections, pressure ulcers, education, policy)
- Involvement in shaping research, materials, and improvements in care
- Opportunity to attend international in-person meetings (travel and accommodation reimbursed)
